Pattern:
Stage 1. We sew the outside of the bag.
We give the shawl woven interfacing and collect "sandwich", consisting of two layers - polyester batting and a compacted shawl:
We quilt the sandwich in any way that is convenient for you (on a free course or with a diagonal pattern):
After we have quilted our shawl, we cut out the details of the bag, as well as the detail of the bottom of the leather (16x28cm) and rigid lambrequin (25x13cm):
Rigid lambrequin we glue it to the skin, and turn up the long sections and glue them:
We connect the details of the bag in the bottom area with a basting stitch in the joint:
Then, we sew the leather part of the bottom:
We connect the side seams and iron them out:
We make notches in the corners of the bottom:
We connect the side sections with the bottom of the bag:
Stocks of side seams are cut off close to the line, leaving 1.5-2 mm.:
Turn it out on the front side — the upper part of the bag is ready:
2. Stage. We sew the lining of the bag.
We prepare the pockets. To do this, we sew the cut-out details of the pockets along the perimeter with the front sides inside, leaving a small hole for turning out:
In order for the corners to turn out neat when turning out, the seams are folded in this way:
We mark the places where the pockets are sewn and sew them:
We collect the lining of the bag along the side seams:
We combine the upper sections of the lining and the outer part of the bag:
We sew and turn it out:
On the upper cut, we sew the finishing line at a distance of 0.5 cm from the edge:
In the middle of the lock, carefully apply the glue and let it dry for 10 minutes, and then put the lock on the top cut of the purse, trying to press the fabric as tightly as possible to the metal:
With the help of pliers and fabric trimming, we crimp the lock frame around the perimeter:
The lining of the bag is turned out and sewn (alas, I forgot to take a photo).
The bag is ready:
3. Stage. Making a bag handle.
From a quilted piece of fabric, we cut out a piece of size 34x6cm. We cleanly process the short sections, and connect the long sections to the joint with a basting stitch over the edge:
We prepare a strip of leather with a size of 48x6cm. We glue the strip with a band-aid, fold it in long sections into the joint and glue it.
We put the half-rings on the leather part of the handle, connect the fabric leather parts, giving the handle a slightly rounded shape, fix it with clips:
We sew the seam
Using a chain, we connect the handle to the hinges on the frame lock. The bag is completely ready:
