Just in time for Valentine’s Day. A bouquet of red roses and daisies. Perfect for my yellow-brown thumb. :) 12 lovely roses and I’ve added 12 daisies. For these I haven’t found any pattern so here you can find my tutorial for making them.
Love me, Love me not – Daisy tutorial
Cut all the pieces: flower in 2 sizes, leaf, button and flower head.
Mark in the white felt 2 pieces for each flower.
Place the 2 layers as in picture.
Curve one of the point of the wire.
Fold the yellow felt and Mark with the pen the flower heads (1 for each size).
Sew the circles.
Cut allowing a 0,5 cm border. Make a small opening only in one layer for turning.
Turn.
Stuff the flower head with the leftovers of felt.
Sew all around the opening with thread and needle.
Put the curved point of the wire into the opening of the flower head and close with some stitches.
Shape the flower head with your fingers. Slide the flower layers into the wire.
Sew the flower head and the layers together.
This is how it looks in the back after the stitches.
Cut from the green felt the leaf and the flower base. Glue them in place.
Finished! I hope you enjoy sewing with me!
