How to Sew an Exposed Zipper

Sewing needs to just flow from one step to another without too much fuss and bother. So here is a much easier tutorial for setting in the exposed zipper without the fuss and fiddle.

I think you could also call it Honeycomb Pleating.

I made this tutorial, because there really weren’t too many others out there, and I really like my method. The thought of pleating an entire piece of cloth back-and-forth and back-and-forth makes my hands feel all full and frustrated. My way is not that way. I would like to introduce you to the recycled Cheerios box method, in which a cardboard strip does most of the thinking work and the whole thing is laid flat rather than folded up in your hands.

I saw this block several weeks ago on flickr and fell in love immediately. I wanted to make one that afternoon. But wait! The creator did not write anything in the photo description! No name of the block, no link to a tutorial, no reference to the creator. If I am to make this block, I need to break it all down and work out the math for myself.
