It only takes 20 minutes to conjure up this great cover for your wet wipes. Brightens up any changing table and is also super practical for on the go. Because with this great wet wipe bag, you always have a crackling toy for your baby with you.
You need:
Fabric 27cm x 31cm
Zipper at least 30 cm
Tailor's chalk/pencil
Thin satin ribbon or a nice piece of string
Measuring tape or ruler
Scissors
First, both 27cm long sides are serged and pressed over by 1cm, then the zipper can be sewn in more easily. Our piece of fabric is now 27cm x 29cm.
Now fasten the zipper with pins and let it protrude at both ends.
Topstitch with a straight stitch and the sewing machine foot for zippers.
Close the zipper to approx. 6 cm and turn the work inside out. Next, place the two open sides on top of each other, neaten and topstitch. Cut off the protruding ends of the zipper.
The next step turns our still “flat” work into a little pocket. To do this, draw a guide line perpendicular to the side seam at all four corners at a distance of 4 cm from the tip. This is the dark line in the picture. Secure with safety pins.
Topstitch and cut off the excess ends, turn the bag inside out.
And the wet wipe bag is finished. Have fun sewing it yourself.
