Flower & Dresden Plate Tutorial

2 weeks ago we talked about making the dresden plate.
Now this week we are going to talk about appliquéing the dresden plate on and what in the world do we do about that gaping open middle we have going on there.

Okay so some of you know how to make dresden plates, others of you have thought you'd like to try it but you don't know where to begin, and other of you are like "ew dresden plates is an old fashion block." Well then i'm talking to you if you fall in any of these categories.

Well this time around i made a cute little tote... bags are accessories, and are an extension of your outfit, sometimes the bag is what completes the outfit. i like bags like.a.lot. I wanted to see how this fabric would look as a hand bag and it did not disappoint.

This technique can be used to make a zipped pouch of any size, great for pencil cases, kindle cases, purses or clutch bags.

I have been wanting to make a cylindrical zipped pouch for a while, but couldn't decide how to make it unique, when H and I were having a blog meeting recently she mentioned wanting to work in a fast food themed DIY... the burger pouch was born!

You won’t believe how simple it is. This technique can be used for any coin purse or clutch pattern, and is a fun way to add flare to a project. The best part? This little purse only took me 20 minutes to make, from start to finish!
