Reversible Fabric Basket Tutorial

I'd like to introduce you to the newest member of our household. Please meet, The Fabric Basket. Not only is he reversible, but friendly and useful too. Not to mention fast and easy to make.

Here are some basic instructions in case you'd like to make a Quick Change Coin Purse of your very own. Because this is a not-tutorial tutorial I am assuming you know how to sew a binding, box corners, and sew a zipper.

Do me (and yourself) a favor and read through all these instructions before making your bin! There are magics of math involved in this tutorial that I do not claim to understand. You might think of a better way after you read through it.

2 weeks ago we talked about making the dresden plate.
Now this week we are going to talk about appliquéing the dresden plate on and what in the world do we do about that gaping open middle we have going on there.

Well this time around i made a cute little tote... bags are accessories, and are an extension of your outfit, sometimes the bag is what completes the outfit. i like bags like.a.lot. I wanted to see how this fabric would look as a hand bag and it did not disappoint.

This technique can be used to make a zipped pouch of any size, great for pencil cases, kindle cases, purses or clutch bags.

I have been wanting to make a cylindrical zipped pouch for a while, but couldn't decide how to make it unique, when H and I were having a blog meeting recently she mentioned wanting to work in a fast food themed DIY... the burger pouch was born!
